Here’s a list of questions that may help you get to know the Baptist Training Centre better.
1. What can I do when I finish?
The training centre is set up to help equip you to serve Christ wherever He may lead you. Our major focus at the training centre is to equip young men to go out with a pioneering spirit to start churches in South Africa, Africa and the world. If you will live by faith and not by sight and give your best to the Lord while training He will open up doors for you to further serve Him.
2. How much does it cost to go to the training centre?
It costs R2,000 per month with room and board.
This covers a full load of classes, three meals a day, and a place to stay in the dorms.
3. Do you have scholarships or bursaries?
We do offer work scholarship. If you cannot pay your bill or all of it you can pay it off by working at the camp to pay your bill.
4. What do you offer for girls?
Girls are welcome at the school, We believe God can use you in an incredible way though we do believe the role of pastor is for men only. We have a number of courses specifically designed to help you become a woman that can be used mightily for God’s kingdom.
5. Will I just be taking classes?
No, every student will be involved in a weekly ministry in a local church. You will gain experience in working in a variety of ministries. We will do our best to expose you to the ins-and-outs of local church ministry. You will be taught the priority ministry of life-on-life discipleship and encouraged incessantly to make disciples while still in training. This in turn will give you the confidence and experience needed before going out to pioneer a new church plant.
